Connected Content Partner (CCP) Program for Private Brands

Updated 4 months ago by Merch Transformation Change Management

Program Overview

In today's retail environment, customers expect detailed product information to be readily available to make informed buying decisions. At Walmart, we are committed to ensuring items have optimized product information available for the various ways customers shop. This includes high-quality images, product titles, descriptions, and other product details that may result in greater customer satisfaction. To assist our private brand suppliers in getting best-in-class content for our products, we have a private brand program within the larger Connected Content Partner (CCP) program umbrella.

Getting Started

Walmart utilizes two Connected Content Partners with teams dedicated to support our Private Brand suppliers. The benefits of working with our Private Brand partners include:

  • Complete adherence to Walmart content guidelines
  • Full-Service Studios
  • Seamless API Integration
  • Managed service and issue resolution for content issues
  • Cost effective

We encourage you to take a proactive approach in improving your content by connecting with the partners shown below.

FAQs

1. What are the benefits of participating in the CCP Program for Private Brands?

Your items will have robust content displayed on Walmart.com. Utilizing guidelines specific to our private brands and categories will aid our customers in product research, improve the search experience, and convert traffic to sales. Preliminary results indicate significant increases in sales and conversion along with an elevated customer perception of the brands we sell.

2. How long does it take for the CCP to curate item content and upload to Walmart?

Once our partner receives samples from participating suppliers, content should be live within 30 days.

3. In the future, if I want to update content for an item that is managed by a CCP, can I make edits in Supplier One?

Yes. All items will be accessible through Supplier One for your teams to maintain following content ingestion by the CCP.

4. What is the difference between Supplier One and CCP?

Supplier One is the Walmart platform that suppliers use to manually create and update their Item Pages with existing content.

CCPs are full-service partner studios that offer our suppliers an end-to-end content solution, utilizing Walmart-standardized guidelines at pre-negotiated rates. While content coming through Supplier One is licensed to Walmart, content coming through the CCP program is owned by Walmart.
