Rich Media Specifications
Here are our guidelines for rich media like videos and 360 spin images. Make sure your videos and 360 spin images meet these requirements before submitting your changes in Supplier One.
Video Guidelines
Rich Media Video Asset URLs:
- Should end in the .mp4 file type to follow best practices
- Must have no redirects
Rich Media Closed Captioning URLs:
- Should end in the .vtt file type to follow best practices
- Must have no redirects
Rich Media Accessibility Vendor Checklist:
- Accessibility (A11y) ensures people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with any website or app
- Rich media must meet these guidelines to be compliant with A11y
360 Spin Image Guidelines
File size limit:
- The file size limit for each image is 1.5 MB
360 Spin Image URLs:
- Should end in an image file type (.jpg, .png, etc.) to follow best practices
- Must link to a public image file that loads as an image
An exact number of 24 image URLs is required for a 360 spin image. For optimal viewing, we recommend providing 24 unique images.
However, if you only have 12 images, you can repeat the URLs to meet the 24-image requirement (essentially cycling through the images twice). To do this, copy the URLs you provided under 360 Spin Image URL through 360 Spin Image URL 11 (Columns E-P). Then, paste the URLs into the cells under 360 Spin Image URL 12 through 360 Spin Image URL 23 (Columns Q-AB).
