Item Maintenance Resources for Category Advisors

Updated 3 days ago by Merch Transformation Change Management

Below are item maintenance resources for category advisors as you assist with item attributes to help improve search results and item page quality.

Reminder: Category Advisors must have a current, signed Category Advisor Agreement.
If you can't find items that you maintained in the past, it's because those items are not in the Walmart departments and finelines that you have access to as a category advisor across different suppliers (i.e., you will not be able to maintain them moving forward).

Single Item Maintenance

You have three options for updating one item at a time in Supplier One:

Recommendations for Content Improvement

Bulk Item Maintenance

To update up to 5,000 items at once, you have two options for creating a bulk item maintenance spreadsheet:

Catalog

  1. In the left navigation menu, click Items and inventory and select Catalog.
  2. Find the items you want to update using the Product ID search and/or filters.
  3. Click Export Insights & Edit Content.
  4. This takes you to Step 5 of the Maintenance Hub workflow, where you can continue to create and download your maintenance spreadsheet.

Maintenance Hub

  1. In the left navigation menu, click Items and inventory and select Maintenance Hub.
  2. On the Product Content & Site Experience tile, click Update product information.
  3. Refer to the article linked in Step 2 for instructions on downloading and completing your maintenance spreadsheet.

Tracking Submissions

Your submissions will route to our Content Operations team for review and approval ("Walmart Action Required"), and you can view the status of your submissions in the Submissions Manager.

Once a submission is complete, the SLA for content updates to appear on Walmart.com is a maximum of 48 hours. If you run into any issues, try uploading your content in Item 360 again.
