What's New in Supplier One?

Updated 1 month ago by Merch Transformation Change Management

Thanks for sharing your feedback with the Supplier One team! We're excited to continue adding new features and making updates. Here's a summary of what's new in Supplier One:

October 2024

New features and enhancements:

  • If you do not have current insurance documentation on file, you'll see a task in the Top tasks section of your Supplier One home page. Click the link to upload your insurance information.
  • Ship point management (also known as Aspen) is now integrated into Supplier One – allowing you to manage shipping facilities information such as order patterns, lead times, and exceptions to set up your order and replenishment settings.
    • While Aspen will be accessible via Retail Link through December, we recommend familiarizing yourself with ship point management in Supplier One now.
  • The Reports page now includes:
    • A link to learn more about using Walmart Luminate to access additional sales, cost, and forecasting information (plus more). We've also added links to two free Walmart Luminate Reports related to payments. If you already have Charter membership, you can easily access Walmart Luminate Reports for Purchase Orders and OTIF from Supplier One.
    • A new eCommerce In-stock report so you can download and view current in-stock rates for all of your items in Walmart fulfillment centers.
  • The imagery tagging functionality is aimed at reducing nil picks and increasing customer satisfaction. We recommend focusing on images for items sold in Walmart stores to make sure the optimal image is labeled for the purpose of in-store fulfillment. This just-like-shelf image (i.e., the image reflecting what a customer or store order fulfillment associate sees on the shelf when picking an order) should be identified as the "Front of Product In Packaging" image when selecting the image type.
  • The home page now includes a carousel of announcements from the Supplier One team. Make sure to click the arrows to view all three announcements, and click the buttons to watch the Supplier One walkthrough video, learn about new and upcoming features, and see what has been fixed based on your feedback.
  • In the Payments section, all suppliers now have visibility to disputes of the Accounts Payable Claims Process. The data is currently available for your most recent disputes (up to 5,000 rows – even with filters applied). Please use the Accounts Payable Disputes Portal (APDP), accessible through Retail Link, for more details.

August and September 2024

New features and enhancements:

  • Previously, Walmart's US Goods For Resale (GFR) suppliers – Domestic and Direct Import – onboarded with Walmart by working across two different tools, VIP (Supplier Onboarding Dashboard) and Supplier Hub. Supplier One brings these experiences together in one platform to drive efficiency for all supplier types so you can easily maintain your Supplier Profile.
  • The Order Management page in Supplier One now includes visibility to all import orders and allows you to acknowledge them. This reduces the need to navigate to other platforms. You may download the order data into an Excel file at the header level, line level, or distribution. Additional actions allow you to revise an order in Import PO Revision (IPOR), download an order in Import PO Delivery (IPOD), and track an order. We will bring import PO revisions into Supplier One as a future enhancement.
  • When upfront validations catch item data errors in your file uploads, you can now fix the errors directly in Supplier One (i.e., without using a spreadsheet). Review the error messages to learn what needs to be corrected and track the error count as you make updates in the table. If your upload was for Owned or DSD items, make sure to review and correct errors on both tabs – Product Content And Site Exp and Trade Item Configurations. Once you've fixed all the data errors, submit your updates to generate the Submission ID.
  • The Reports page in Supplier One consolidates cost- and payment-related reports in one place so you can download them easily. Make sure to apply filters first to get the data you want. As a future enhancement, the Reports page will also link out to Walmart Luminate reports for quick and easy access.
  • The Deductions breakdown, which was previously a link that took you out of Supplier One, is now integrated into the platform. Click “Deductions” in the left navigation menu to see the Deductions overview, and click the link at the top of the overview to view the breakdown.

Bug fixes:

  • During supplier onboarding:
    • Graduated Goods Not For Resale (GNFR) suppliers – who are not using Supplier One yet – are now correctly redirected to the VIP (Supplier Onboarding Dashboard) tool when attempting to access their Supplier Profile.
    • Graduated DSV suppliers are able to update their operational hours in their facility information.
    • The Non-US Tax ID field allows alphanumeric values so new/existing suppliers can provide a Foreign Tax ID.
    • Graduated Direct Import suppliers are now correctly redirected to the Supplier One platform.
    • Existing suppliers who received a renewal agreement can now accept the new agreements.
    • All Local suppliers are correctly redirected to the local onboarding experience.
    • The Product Proposals experience has been revamped to ensure consistency from onboarding through item management for new Domestic and Direct Import suppliers.

June 2024

New features and enhancements:

  • Learn how to grow and evolve your business with Walmart Luminate, Walmart Connect, and Review Accelerator.
  • Enroll eligible items in Review Accelerator, which encourages customers to share their feedback after purchasing an item on Walmart.com. When a customer purchases a product that is enrolled, they will be asked to write a true, accurate, and honest review in exchange for a digital reward that can be used toward their next purchase on Walmart.com.

May 2024

New features and enhancements:

  • New compliance attributes have been added to the setup and maintenance spreadsheets, and requirement level varies depending on an item's product type. Learn more about the new attributes here.
  • Changes to the Claims and Returns Scorecard, which helps you identify item opportunities and root cause sooner, include:
    • Renamed the "Returns” tab “Customer Returns” for clarity.
    • Added visibility to claim reasons by category, including Walmart handling fees.
    • Added a new “Trend” tab with visibility to actual claims spending, current defectives (swell or soft good) allowances in your vendor agreements, and your estimated allowance based on the last 52 weeks of performance.

March and April 2024

New features and enhancements:

  • If you made item submissions via Walmart APIs, you can now view them in the Supplier One Submission manager. This allows you to track the status of all item submissions in a single location whether you used APIs or workflows in Supplier One.
  • You now have more options to accurately describe issues and ensure tickets are routed to the correct team. The new additions include Login & app access, Supplier profile & agreements, Orders & shipping, Item, Review accelerator, EDI, API, DDIR, and Deductions.
  • The cost attribute has been added to the DSV Order Management view, and suppliers who use APIs can also retrieve the attribute via the integrations. This provides DSV suppliers with all the essential attributes when viewing and managing their orders.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where ship node submissions did not always appear properly in the Supplier One Submission manager. This fix provides a consistent experience when tracking your ship node submissions.
  • Fixed an issue where some deductions groups and categories on the Deductions page did not show up in the filter options. You will now see a consistent breakdown of groups and categories on the Deductions page and when applying filters.

February 2024

All U.S. Domestic suppliers now have access to Supplier One. Below is an overview of what's available now in Supplier One and what's coming. Click here to view it as a PDF.

January 2024

New features:

December 2023

New features:

  • Consolidated performance scorecard: This scorecard view will help you easily gauge business performance by providing a quick glance of key metrics for on time, in full, and content quality in one page within Supplier One. The data includes the current score and target score with links to view the corresponding report for each metric. Refer to the reports to determine the best path forward to resolve issues and raise scores.
  • Home page enhancements: The summary shows a snapshot of units returned (based on a month of data) so you can quickly see if further investigation is needed. Your top tasks now include specific item-related actions to help you prioritize item maintenance / setup submissions, quote items, item proposals, etc.
  • Chatbot ticketing updates: DSV suppliers can now submit tickets within the Supplier One chatbot for USPS shipping cost reimbursement, VR chargebacks, change of capacity, and performance and suspension appeals. These updates capture all potential support issues for DSV suppliers so they can manage all tickets through Supplier One rather than using multiple DSV support channels.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed an issue in DSV returns where the top returned items list was capped at 500 lines or failed to download if a longer time range was selected. The downloaded file now includes full results that completely match what you see in Supplier One.
  • When viewing DSV Orders, both GTIN and SKU are now displayed as key identifiers to help you gain a better understanding of order information.
  • Reduced occasions when the chatbot failed in its ability to answer questions due to a delay in the API response.
  • Fixed a priority ranking issue in ticketing to ensure support teams address tickets in an accurate order of priority.
  • Fixed an issue where tickets were not visible if the issue description contained special characters. You can now see and manage these tickets in the Supplier One chatbot.

October 2023

New features:

  • Owned Orders: View and download your open, receiving, closed, or cancelled orders.
  • Owned Returns Claims: Gain insights into claims linked to your account. A claim is made when a product is determined to be defective or non-conforming, and the product cannot be sold or resold in the case of customer returns.
  • Deductions: Gain insights about deduction reasons and view details of all deductions. These details and insights can help you spot trends so you can decide if action is needed.

September 2023

New features:

  • This initial launch of Supplier One includes the following features:
    • DSV Orders: View and manage all your active and closed orders, and act on any cancellations or items that need to be shipped out.
    • DSV Returns: Gain insights to understand why customers are initiating returns for DSV items they ordered from you.
    • DSV Payment History: View the past purchase orders you fulfilled and the amount you were paid for each order.
    • Owned Returns: Gain insights to understand why customers are initiating returns for Owned (eCommerce and Store) items they ordered from you.
    • Items & Inventory: View items in your catalog, set up and maintain items and DSV inventory, and track submissions. All of your Item 360 functionality is integrated in Supplier One.
